Who is this certain Ronald B. Escanlar?
An undergraduate of several universities, this certain Ronald B. Escanlar is an Ilonggo born in Pasig City who had lived with his TRUTH in Cebu and is now back in Pasig City.
He had stints at the Manila Bulletin and the Manila Times; junior editor for NewsLink, a daily electronic newspaper for ocean-going vessels; chief editor of a short-lived magazine; and a reporter for Bulatlat.com.
Every now and then, too, he attracts the attention of the Grim Reaper. On October 26, 2000, he was shot by a snatcher in a jeepney infront of Luneta. On April 7, 2005, he was bludgeoned on the head by riot police during a dispersal infront of Malate Church.
With a flair for pounding rhythmically on anything, he was also a training officer of UP Kontragapi for two years. After playing at work as a senior web and graphic designer at Cebu-based RedApple Design Studio, he’s back in Manila to pursue entrepreneurial ambitions.
